Left Behind: Eternal Forces

Left Behind: Eternal Forces is set to release in September this year.

The game revolves around New Yorkers who are “left behind” after the rapture. Players scour the streets for converts, training them into a work force to feed, shelter and join a paramilitary resistance against the growing forces of the Antichrist.

The over all concept of the game sounds interesting enough. The screen shots look cool, the trailer is lame. I’m not real sure what to think about this game. It is already starting some heated debate. I hope it turns out to be more than just another game trying to monopolize on a popular franchise.

Anthem.net

Anthem.net is a super slick AJAX library that supports both .NET 1.1 and .NET 2.0. It contains a number of AJAX-enabled web controls that use an AJAX callback instead the standard postback event.

What sets Anthem apart from other frameworks is that it integrates itself into the server-side control model made popular by ASP.NET. This includes full support for view state, server-side events, and everything else the typical ASP.NET developer has grown accustomed to.

Transformers: Hearts of Steel

Awesome! A new comic mini-series about The Transformers in the Industrial Revolution:

Ever wondered what form your favorite Transformers would take if they existed in different eras? Wonder no more, as IDW’s new Evolutions line will look at some special out-of-continuity tales involving the Robots in Disguise. The line makes its debut in June with the four-part Hearts of Steel. In this standalone miniseries, writer Chuck Dixon and Transformers artist supreme Guido Guidi transplant the ‘bots to the Industrial Revolution, where a charismatic hammer-man named John Henry discovers that a steam drill is really an alien robot named Bumblebee. Before he can process this information, the pair are attacked by Decepticons disguised as tanks, trains and walking engines. Is this all part of a larger scheme by Starscream? And if so, will the other Autobots arrive in time to stop his nefarious plans?

The sketches are amazing. Hope the story doesn’t suck….
